Just because Robin isn’t the mother doesn’t mean she’s not the one
Well put, I’m not the mother of my husband’s daughter (he was married before) but I am the one. Also, my name is Robin ;)

I think it would be nifty at the end of How I Met Your Mother, turns out that the whole time Ted’s been telling the story, he’s actually divorced from the mother, and is actually is together with Robin. haha -________- it’d probably seem like a punch in the face to some people, but I think it’d be…
I have pretty much the same theory.

How About We Just Stick With the Drumroll?: Are we watching the same show here?
Point: This show has shown and hinted that Ted has lingering feelings for Robin since forever so this whole “I love you, Robin” shouldn’t be a total shocker. Are we even watching the same show here? Ted and Robin has always been shown and hinted in some way or another in every season, if…
Thank you, exactly how I feel!
FNL has been mentioned on Parks and Recreation, HIMYM, and Up All Night
Proof that everyone who counts knows how amazing that show is.
“you stole me a blue french horn.”
“i made it rain.”
“cheering you up is my job.”

It was like something from an old movie. Where the sailor sees the girl across the crowded dance floor, turns to his buddy and says “See that girl? I’m gonna marry her someday.”

The Regal Lion: My 'How I Met Your Mother' Theory
So.
- If you watch aaaaall 6.5 seasons of HIMYM, he never once refers to their mother as his wife. It’s always “your mother”. So what if 2030 Ted is not married to their mother, but to Robin.
- While I realize a lot of HIMYM fans aren’t a fan of Ted and Robin being together, I have to admit, they…
Good theory, but in the first episode Future Ted says: “…and this is how I met your aunt Robin.” Am I wrong?
Maybe they called her that before they got together?
I disagree, Barney is clearly the most lost and has no real grasp at what he wants. Ted wants to meet his soulmate and settle down, it just hasn’t happened yet. It doesn’t matter how ready you are, if it’s not the right time it’s just not the right time.

The Regal Lion: My 'How I Met Your Mother' Theory
I like this theory, it makes total sense to me, though it does seem they are vearing toward the Robin/Barney thing but who knows? Even if they have a kid and get married doesn’t mean they end up together in the end. I still hope it’s Robin, I’d like to see it come full circle.
